OLBERMANN CALLS TEABAGGERS SIMPLETONS

Last night, Keith Olbermann of MSNBC made a mistake, when reporting on the Teabag protests across the nation. There were nearly 300 such rallies around the country. I was surprised to see the mix of people at the rallies. The one I was at was made up of Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and many Independents. I’ll never forget it. But one thing I’ll also never forget is this:
“Neil Cavuto preaching to the simpletons!” said Olbermann, as he glared at the teleprompter, which makes him smarter than everyone at the rallies.
Mr. Olbermann, that was a big mistake. I’d like some clarification. What, exactly, did you mean by “simpletons”?
Did you mean that anyone present at these rallies was uneducated? Did you intend to place your own dimwitted spin on something that was completely out of your control? Or was it some sort of survival technique, developed after long years of realizing that your relevance is as fickle as the wind, and currently, it is dissipating?
Whatever your intentions, you made a big mistake. I was there. Many of the people I encountered were well educated. There were laid off factory workers, small business owners, attorneys, doctors, engineers, and teachers. Are all of us simpletons? Even the democrats?
Keith, your arrogance is exceeded only by your ignorance.
Mr. Olbermann, you owe several hundred thousand people an apology.
