BOB CESCA IS AN IDIOT

Here’s the link that proves it. The Extreme And Imaginery Pro-Obama Bias.  Go on…read it.

Maybe he’s right.  Maybe there really is no bias.  Or, maybe the Mainstream Media is trying to say to us, “Move along…nothing to look at here, there’s no bias to see anywhere.   Let’s move, people!”

I am reminded of what Chris Matthews said with regards to what his job as a journalist is.  He said something along the lines of it being his job, as a journalist, to do everything he could to make sure Obama’s presidency was viewed as a success.  When questioned about that newest of journalistic job descriptions, Matthews reiterated that it was all of the media’s job to make sure Barack Obama’s administration was a success.

Excuse me, umm, Chris?  Isn’t it really your job to report the truth?  Is there nothing in your job description which states that regardless of who you are reporting on, your job is to report the facts?  In truth, isn’t one of the highest rules of journalism to make certain you never create the news, or become part of it?

In all of that, how does making sure that the Obama presidency succeeds fulfill your role as an unbiased journalist?

On your bed mate, Keith Olberman, I think his special reports and statements speak for themselves.  Nope, no media bias, nothing to see here…move along.

Bob Cesca, you must be joking.  Are you now going to insult the intelligence of Americans by telling us that we are imagining this bias?  How arrogant, you stuck-on-yourself pig.  Take a shower, you reek of crap.  The place you choose to issue forth your “nothing to look at here, you crazy conservatives” garbage, The Huffington Post, of all places?  Bob, really?  No media bias at the Huff Post?  Not even when repeatedly, Ms. Huffington herself calls any Republican administration “the dark ages of America”?

I guess, Bob, when you are implicit in the very media bias that everyday Americans rage about (almost ALL of them more intelligent than yourself), you sort of become blind to it, huh?  Kind of like an idiot?

Wake up America.  Barack Obama may really bring change, he may really be a great President…I sure do hope so.  But you, me, we are all going to have to open our eyes a little farther to find the truth.  We aren’t going to get it from people like Bob Cesca, Ms. Huffington, or Chris Matthews.  They’re all too busy wiping their chins after getting back up from their knees in front of our new president.

CHANGE DOESN’T HAPPEN BY WRAPPING A DIFFERENT COLOR ON A SKUNK

Posted by politicalpartypooper on November 12, 2008

stripedskunklat

I spoke with a raging Liberal today.  Amazing!

And, Pathetic.

How else could I describe the blindness, the utter nonsensical recital I was forced to listen to this morning?  How else can I tell you about her reaction when I told her she was speaking with a raging Independent?

I listened, because that’s what I do; I want to know why people believe and vote as they do.  I am especially concerned (interested?) when the young lady I was talking to is one of my friends.  At least, I think she’s still my friend…for my part she is, although, I’m not too sure how she feels about me at the moment.

I gave her an opportunity to tell me why she voted for Barack Obama, and instead of telling me her reasons, she chose to tell me that anyone who didn’t was an idiot; an absolute neanderthal who didn’t deserve to live in America, especially if they voted for McCain / @#***#@!PALIN!!@*#@!

Honestly, I asked, what is the issue with Sarah Palin and the Left?  I’ve not seen such a hard-on for a single person since the Republicans impeached Bill Clinton.  Wow!

The answer I received was along the lines of, “You know?  She’s just like…dumb…stupid, totally!”  Okay.  Well put, my young friend.  Did you come up with that all by yourself?  “DUH!!” was the heartwarming response.

She proceeded to tell me that she hoped I had supported a winner, and if I hadn’t, she couldn’t, wouldn’t, ever be able to understand how I did not vote for our only hope to change Washington.

My answer was like a deaf bomb dropped from ten thousand feet, you know the type, suffocating, and able to leave an entire room silent with ears popping.

“Because, my dear lady, change doesn’t happen just because you wrap a different color around a skunk.”

She accused of me being a racist the moment she had regained her composure.  I denied that, and anyone who knows me would defend me.  I explained, “You chose to focus on one word in that entire sentence.  Let me explain what I meant.  Barack Obama will not bring change to Washington exactly because he is a party politician first, and a President second.  It makes no difference if he’s Democrat or Republican, both are just opposite sides of the SAME coin.  If you had really wanted change in Washington, you would have voted for an independent, like I did.  The two political parties are the skunk, and neither one has the ability, or the desire to bring real change to Washington or our nation.”

Her response?  “Congratulations on wasting your vote”

I don’t think she gets it.  it doesn’t matter that I voted for Obama.  What matters are the reasons I did.

THE INVISIBLE VICE PRESIDENT

Has anybody seen or heard from Joe Biden…you know, the other guy on the ticket?  I haven’t seen one single article with his name in the headline, nor watched or listened to one show that said anything about him.

I guess it will be his lot to be the invisible man from now on.

CHANGE HAS NOT COME TO AMERICA…NOT YET

Posted by politicalpartypooper on November 5, 2008

PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA

PRESIDENT-ELECT BARACK OBAMA

Congratulations to Barack Obama in his victorious Presidential Campaign.  He was well-spoken, organized, and stayed on message throught the entire two years he ran.  At the very least, we can say that he knows how to stay the course.

“Change has come to America”.  Those are the words being repeated on television and radio broadcasts throughout the United States of America this morning.  Barack Obama’s signature line “Change is what’s happening in America” has suddenly become present tense.   Talking heads in the mainstream media will undoubtedly fawn all over those words, and it will be easier for Americans to believe those words now that we have elected a junior senator from the state of Illinois.

However, I remind my fellow Americans that so far, nothing has changed.  I don’t consider the election of a black man to the highest office in our nation a change.  Maybe some do, but I knew all along that it was only a matter of a brief time before the right man stood before America, black or white, and won this election.  Color is not what’s important in this nation, at least not to me.

What is important is that we actually CHANGE America.  As I stated earlier, change has yet to happen.  Last night, every house representative up for reelection won their campaign.  I can’t begin to say how disappointed I am in America about that.  For two years, we’ve heard nothing but complaints about the second straight “do-nothing” Congress.  We’ve heard excuses and party rhetoric while our congress allowed Wall Street to run rampant with our retirement money.

Change has come to America?  Hardly.

I feel sorry for Barrack Obama.  He has a twenty-thousand foot mountain to climb, and he’s just reached the dizzying height of twenty feet.  Now, he has to work with basically the same Congress that accomplished almost nothing in 730 days.  It seems almost impossible to do, but this Congress achieved it without even breaking a sweat.

As for the Senate, weren’t they the ones who sweetened the bailout deal with tons of pork so it could actually pass?  With them, it’s politics as usual.  Change has come to America?

No, you have to accomplish something before you can actually claim it.  President-elect Obama, I am more than willing to help you in your work, to cooperate with you in bringing real change to America.  But I am the least of your concerns.  You still have partisan politics to abolish, as you promised you would.  You have to find a way to break it to the American people that you just can’t deliver the tax cuts you promised, no matter how nice they would be, due to our current economic crisis; the crisis you called the worst since the Great Depression.  You must also tell the American people that if a National Health Care Plan is what we want, then you have to raise taxes to do it. Above all, President-elect Obama, you must be honest with us.

You’re not running for the office of President anymore.  Now, you have the right to tell the truth; you have the obligation, like a father has to his children, to tell the nation about the hard work that is ahead of us.  Start early, and do it often.  We will respect you for it if you do.

But if you fall into that familiar trap of partisan politics and ideological lies, the independents will come for you in 2012.  We’ll come for your friends, too, in the Senate and the House.

You have the opportunity to change America, but you can’t do it yourself.  Here’s your chance; Ally yourself with the citizens of this great nation.  Do it today.  Don’t wait for your friends in Congress to steal the limelight with their ideological plans, photo-ops, and sound bites.  This is your chance to separate yourself from your party as you have wanted to do for a long time.

This is your chance to shine a bright light on Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and John McCain.  It’s your time to say to the American people, “Congress and the Senate are on trial, and I will report to you daily on their accomplishments, and on the change they are bringing to America.  And if they choose to continue the feuding and partisan politics, I will be honest with you, and report that as well.  Yes, America, I really will throw my own party under the bus for the good of this nation, and the people in it that I love.   I really will shine that bright light upon them, and force them to do what’s right for America.  And if they don’t, I will advise you to elect someone else, yes, even to the length of endorsing an independent against someone from my own party.  I am one of you, and my party ends where the office of the President of the United States begins.  Together, we really can bring change to America”.

Those are the words I would like to hear from President Barrack Obama.

It’s time to focus on our elected officials, to bring the blitz and pressure them into doing the jobs they are well-paid to do.  Normal Americans work forty to fifty hours a week, with a thirty- minute lunch and a fifteen- minute break each day.  All other time is spent working.  It’s time our elected officials follow the same rules.

Your first job, in bringing change to America beyond just the words?  Remove the financial side of lobbying completely.  Just get rid of the money, the gifts, the trips, and the donations to campaigns and party coffers altogether.  Remove even the hint of corruption in Washington.  That’s where real change starts.  That’s your job, Barack, because that’s the platform you chose to run on.  America will not forget your platform, even if you do.

PASS IT ON

Posted by politicalpartypooper on November 3, 2008

The 2008 Presidential Election is upon us, and I couldn’t be happier to be done with it.  Let’s see, in 2006, I do believe, we had our first candidates, did we not?  That’s two years of solid campaigning, and two years of we, the American people, having the same tired, old rhetoric jammed down our throats.

“We’re going to close corporate tax loopholes to make big corporations pay their fair share!”  Sound familiar?  That’s because it’s been a campaign platform for fifty years in America.  Both parties use it.  Neither party ever fulfills that promise.  McCain and Obama won’t either.

There are many, many other platforms that have been recycled in this election, but that one stands out as my favorite, because it’s such an obvious lie, and I can’t understand why Americans fall for it, or would want to.

Think on this:  Everything that affects a corporation’s bottom line is passed on to the consumer.  Rising labor costs affect corporations, and they, in turn, pass that cost onto you and me.  Want our corporations to pay higher taxes, taking a big bite out of their profits?  Guess who pays for that in the end?  That’s right; you and me.

This is basic economics.  It’s so simple to understand that it is frightening to me that citizens still buy this crap from our wannabe Presidents and elected officials.  They must think we are stupid.

Think about it.  We must be stupid, because we keep believing them.

Mark my words:  Any tax increase on the big oil companies, or large corporations will be passed on to you and me.  In essence, no matter who is elected President tomorrow, count on higher taxes; one way or the other.  We will pay for whatever affects the bottom line of our businesses.  That’s economics 101.  It doesn’t change.  You never, ever get something for nothing.  Remember that, the next time you hear a politcian say he wants to make big corporations pay higher taxes. Just mouth these words silently when you hear them, “I just got a tax increase.”
